Network Marketing Leaders – Managing Your Time and Focusing on What’s Important

November 26, 2008

picture of network marketing talking and emailingAre you a highly motivated hard working multi-tasking network marketing go getter? If so, you probably have a lot going on and have everything organized and under control.

Right?

I recently took a little time to think about this. Assuming you are building your network marketing business online, and are at least modestly involved in promoting through Web 2.0 channels, think about some of the things you may be doing each day.

  • checking your email hourly
  • watching YouTube videos to see what other networkers are up to
  • twittering, stumbling, and texting
  • chatting with online friends
  • looking around the web for things to help your business (advice, software, anything)

Anyway, I think you know what I mean. There is nothing wrong with these things, but be careful not to let them take over and stop you from doing the things that really GROW your network marketing business.

How much time do you put into the actions below each day?

  • prospecting and generating leads
  • personal follow-ups with leads and prospects
  • training and mentoring your downline

These are three keys to [tag-tec]network marketing success[/tag-tec]. Take a look at how much of your available business-building time you spend on these activities.

Twittering, texting, chatting, managing email, and browsing for enlightenment can all be productive activities if you do them right.

The secret is to avoid spending so much time “being busy” that you overlook the productive actions that matter most.

I agree, network marketing takes great strategic planning in order to become
successful. Timing is everything; the better you plan the more you are able to
expand your business & growth. I like your suggestions regarding experience when
it comes to networking. Thanks for sharing!
