A Great Business Opportunity with Multi Level Marketing
September 14, 2010 by stone · Leave a Comment
Do a little research into making money online and it’s almost a guarantee the phrase “multi level marketing” will come up. So what is multi level marketing and is it a legitimate way to make money? First things first, multi level marketing or MLM is legitimate and many people have set up successful streams of income using it. You just have to be aware that MLM isn’t a guaranteed path to riches as you will have to work and work hard!
MLM compensates representatives not only for the products they sell but also for the sales of other people they introduce into the company. If you sell the product you make money, if people you brought in to the company sell, you make money as well. Those people under you are in what is called your downline.
The key to being successful with MLM is marketing. Sure you can just talk to your family and friends, but pretty soon these “warm leads” dry up and you will have to go outside that sphere. You need to be able to effectively market on the internet as well as in person to really make money with an MLM.
Also you need to sell products you believe it and even use yourself. It’s way easier to sell products or services you use and are interested in.
So what are the drawbacks? Unfortunately, some MLM opportunities can actually turn out to be pyramid schemes. Pyramid schemes revolve around the exchange of money primarily for enrolling new people into the scheme. If you have to buy into a business and the only way for you to make money is to get other people to buy into the business, without a product or service being delivered, you are a part of a pyramid scheme.
The problem is pyramid schemes and MLM have almost become synonymous when in fact they are radically different. In MLM you actually are selling a product or service, not just trying to get money from people to join under you. Knowing the difference can allow you to set up a profitable MLM business. MLM is a legitimate way to make extra money, just be ready to market and know how to identify a real MLM opportunity.
You Are Not Alone When You Work From Home Online

Some have said they would not like to work at home because they like to interact with people at work and would be lonely without them. However the truth is when you work from home online there is an entire world of communities only a click away. As time goes on and the Internet evolves, more and more applications allow for social networking.
A source of ‘company’ is available through Internet forums and when you work from home online you will find plenty of opportunity to ‘meet’ your peers, prospects and customers in business forums. Forums are rich sources of information and instruction, as well as being little communities of people that have the same interests. You can address the group as a whole by posting threads, or you can communicate privately through private messages.
Next to become popular were ‘chat clients’ such as Instant messengers which evolved into Skype. Skype allows you to call someone’s computer from your computer using VoIP technology (voice over Internet protocol). You can speak using a headset/microphone, just as you would on the phone, only it is free internationally. Now this has evolved into having the ability for a group conversation or ‘conference call’. You can also communicate by texting if you do not wish to speak or a combination of both and you can also send files instantly.
Along the way there was also web conference technology that enables many people who work from home online to hold meetings for training and sales presentations. As the technology has improved these web conference rooms have improved in sound quality a great deal, and many new functions have been added to make it seem like a regular live conference room. These functions include interactive whiteboards, screen capture and casting, file transfers, music, videos, etc.
The latest phenomenon that people are embracing by the millions is social media. Here you can leave messages for the public or privately contact people through the network message system. You can share photographs and all sorts of files so that you can get to know people all over the world. The only thing you can’t do is lunch.
Network Marketing Made Simple
September 10, 2010 by stone · Leave a Comment
While you might believe it is most simple to just buy leads or lists of prospects for your network marketing business, you must consider quality over quantity. When you are buying leads, whether by the penny or by the dollar, you likely will find that many of the eMail addresses are invalid for a couple reasons.
One reason buying leads or lists is not the best strategy is because these eMail addresses may not be nearly as ‘fresh’ as they are purported to be. The lists may have been sold numerous times and may just be ‘fresh’ to your supplier. They could actually be very old lists.
Besides this fact, when they say the leads are ‘targeted’ or ‘interested’ this can be in a very general sense. For example a year ago someone may have inquired about XYZ company (who sold their list) or requested general information about the network marketing business. Neither of these two scenarios does you much good.
It would be a lot smarter and much more cost-effective for you to capture your own leads directly through your own efforts. That means the people who respond will be responding directly to your advertisement. Right up front this gives you an advantage of familiarity, not to mention they can still remember requesting information directly from you. There is no worse introduction to a sales presentation that having to explain where you got their name, particularly if they are really not happy to hear from you.
The way to generate your own network marketing leads is through leads portals. These are web pages that offer them something for free such as a report, survey, eBook, or even a small software application. They must ‘opt-in’ to receive your offer and this includes providing their eMail address and/or telephone number. You can send them what they requested and then continue to contact them about your offers.
A few points to be extra ethical and scrupulous would be to require the eMail address only and then ask permission to call them or offer to help them with a free one-on-one conversation to discuss their business plans. They would confirm that they want to speak to you by sending you their phone number. When you call they won’t say ‘Who???’.
Implementing a Solid Internet Marketing Strategy

Implementing a solid Internet marketing strategy is not difficult. However unless you can afford to pay for services, it will involve doing some work. It is not difficult to learn at all and the work is easy-to-do.
However it is time-intensive in two ways. In one sense because you need to take all the actions necessary on a consistent basis so as to build and sustain momentum; and in another because it is not going to produce instant results, so you have to give it time to work.
A solid Internet marketing strategy should ideally begin by doing research. This involves research on your product and on the market – what is popular and what does not have too much competition. You want to have what people want, but you do not want to have to compete with too many others that have a head start on you as far as the momentum factor, etc.
A very wise and famous Internet marketer once said that most people find a product and then they look for a market, and the opposite should be true. Find the market and then give them the product they are looking for. See the difference? Much more logical because it is easier to sell people something they already want.
You should also have a list of good keywords to use in your advertising content for best results. This is because the type of traffic you want will be targeted to the product or service you are offering and not just ‘foot traffic’ which is basically ‘window shoppers’ who don’t actually buy anything.
For example if you are selling electronics what good does it do to have traffic from people who are looking for clothes? Not much except maybe an off chance something will catch their eye if they stay on your site long enough. Being that it is said you only have a few seconds to capture someone’s interest, the chances are not ideal.
Unfortunately many services that purport to have solid Internet marketing strategy will only send you random traffic – they can back up their claims of ’20 gazillion visitors’ but you will find that there are very few if any sales conversions that come out of the traffic jam and there literally would not be anyone who could guarantee you X number of sales in most cases.
How to Create a Successful Internet Marketing Strategy

While gimmicks and fads may come and go, basic Internet marketing strategy should always revolve around publishing valuable content. Content is search engine candy, and search engines can definitely help your site to get targeted traffic. So, always have plenty of good content on your site and publish content on other sites to link back to your site, and you will get lots of free traffic that is looking for what you have.
No matter what else you do in your Internet marketing strategy, remember that it is all about the search engines if you want free, organic traffic. Of course if you have money for PPC (pay per click) advertising, that is good also. However even with PPC it is about the content and the presence of keywords in that content that will provide the right traffic for your business; otherwise it can be a waste of money.
Just publishing ads is not all there is to creating valuable content. You want to utilize blogging and article marketing to create an environment where you are seen as an expert in your field who is willing and able to provide valuable information that is of interest to others. Within that context is where you will ideally create discreet advertising. You will draw people to you with your content and then as you build trust, you will be able to compel them to take action on your recommendations and advice.
Research is something that you cannot overlook in your Internet marketing strategy. You will want to analyze your business to determine what your best keywords are to use on your site and in all your content, whether for information or direct advertising. Then take those keywords and find keyword phrases that match terms that are frequently searched with. Start with a small number and as you grow, build a list of more and more keywords.
The key to any successful marketing strategy is consistency. You should plan on doing regular tasks each day that will further your momentum and don’t stop. No sense wasting your time by waiting for results. Just keep building momentum and don’t stop. While tracking and statistics is advisable in the long run, they are not nearly as important as actually publishing content aggressively.
Putting Zest Into Your pre-taped network marketing prospect conference calls

Contacting your network marketing prospect list can be an exhausting task. If you have done your homework, utilized any of the numerous resources online for gathering prospects, or paired with another website to share prospects, chances are you have a lot of work on your plate. To minimize your workload and make your phone time more effective, you might try utilizing pre-taped phone calls to contact your prospects for the first time and weed out those who aren’t interested in your offer. These pre-taped calls, usually through a company that will utilize a computer system to send out your mass calls, are about a minute or two long, so they have to be good. Read on to find out how you can put some zest into your pre-taped calls and ignite interest in even the t0ughest sell.
First, think long and hard about the most important facts you need to convey to your prospects. Your call should not be all hype. People get hundreds of emails every day promising overnight millions, so you really need to offer them something more substantial than promises. On the other hand, it is essential to leave some mystery so they will be intrigued to call you back. I suggest making a list of three to five quick facts about your offer and company that you can quickly share. These facts should introduce your product, make a quick case for the growing market and desire for your product, and end with the advantages of calling you back and joining the team. This easy formula can make your call much easier to write and decrease all of the guesswork.
Second, talk sincerely and openly into the phone. You don’t have to be overly enthusiastic to have a strong effect on your listeners. Sounding confident and call will convey the strength of your business whether they call you back or not, and will deter any concern that this might be a quick scam.
Finally, provide two ways people can reach you to learn more information. Give a phone number for return calls, but provide a second means for those who are more timid ab9ut calling. An email address or website will attract those who might be on the fence and will give you a second chance to reel them in.
Your pre-taped phone call doesn’t need to be a source of stress because it is supposed to be a source of qualified candidates for your downline. Done correctly and according to this formula, you will find that your network marketing prospect list is a gold mine just waiting for your call.
How to Start a Home Business Online
September 2, 2010 by stone · Leave a Comment
The first steps to start a home business online may be the toughest. That is first of all to stop thinking about it and just do it. Go ahead. Log on to the Internet. It’s okay if you have no idea what you would like to do. You will get plenty of ideas and information about how to move forward once you make the decision and take action.
Are you sure? OK, second you need a little bit of mental and physical preparation now that you have overcome the first hurdle. Wherever your computer is, whether you have a room dedicated to being an office or even if all you have is a corner. Pronounce this space your office and treat it as such. Try to organize the space. Clear out all the junk. This will help you to focus.
Speaking of focus: To start a home business you need to realize that it will require some consistent work and discipline. Starting with time. How much do you have to dedicate to your business? An hour or two a night? A half-day on the weekend?
Make a commitment to yourself and don’t let anything else get in the way. Treat it like a job. If you were due at work at 9:00 would you just decide to watch TV instead? Not if you want to keep your job. Same principle – if you want to succeed with your business you have to take it seriously.
All this may seem elementary but if you are used to working for someone else then you will have had the benefit of the structure there to motivate you to do your job. When you are your own boss, it is too easy to say, ‘I’ll do it later’ or ‘I’ll do it tomorrow’. You need to be accountable to yourself.
It might help to motivate you as well if you have definite goals. Most successful people do. Make your goals realistic. If you set impossible goals like ‘start a home business that will make me wealthy in 30 days’ you will obviously be disappointed and discouraged because it is highly unlikely you will be able to reach your goal. Start out with something even as small as ‘one sale in 30 days’. Once you see you can do that then you can start to make your goals more challenging.
